Estimates & Pricing
We provide free on-site estimates for all mini split projects. The following terms apply to estimates and pricing:
- Estimates are based on the conditions observed during the on-site assessment and information provided by the customer.
- An estimate is valid for 30 days from the date it is issued unless otherwise noted in writing.
- If site conditions differ from what was observed or disclosed during the assessment (e.g., hidden electrical issues, structural concerns discovered during installation), we will notify you of any additional costs before proceeding with the additional work.
- No additional charges will be applied without your written or verbal approval.
- Price ranges published on our website are general estimates and may not reflect the cost of your specific project. The written estimate you receive after a site assessment is the binding price.
Scheduling & Access
Once you approve an estimate, we will schedule the installation or service at a mutually agreed date and time. To ensure the work proceeds smoothly:
- You must provide reasonable access to the work areas, including interior spaces where indoor units will be installed and exterior areas for condenser placement.
- Work areas should be clear of personal belongings, furniture, and obstructions to the extent practical. We will discuss specific preparation requirements before the scheduled date.
- If you need to reschedule, please notify us at least 24 hours before the appointment. We will work with you to find an alternative date.
- An adult (18 years or older) must be present at the property during the installation or service, or you must provide written authorization for us to access the property.
Payment Terms
- Payment is due upon completion of the work unless a different arrangement has been agreed to in writing.
- For larger installations, we may require a deposit at the time of scheduling. The deposit amount and payment schedule will be clearly stated in your estimate or service agreement.
- We accept major credit cards, checks, and bank transfers. Accepted payment methods will be confirmed before work begins.
- If payment is not received within 30 days of the invoice date, we reserve the right to charge a late fee of 1.5% per month on the outstanding balance, to the extent permitted by Colorado law.
Warranty & Guarantees
Our warranty coverage includes:
- Labor warranty: We warranty our installation and repair workmanship for a period specified in your service agreement (typically 1 year from the date of completion). This covers defects in our work, not normal wear and tear or customer-caused damage.
- Equipment warranty: All new mini split equipment comes with the manufacturer’s warranty. Warranty terms, duration, and coverage vary by brand and model. We will register your equipment warranty on your behalf and provide you with the warranty documentation.
- Warranty exclusions: Warranties do not cover damage resulting from improper use, lack of maintenance, unauthorized modifications, power surges, acts of nature, or operation outside the manufacturer’s recommended parameters.
To make a warranty claim, contact us directly at (719) 600-2339. We will assess the issue and determine whether it falls under our labor warranty or the manufacturer’s equipment warranty.
Permits & Compliance
Many mini split installations in Colorado Springs require building or electrical permits. Our approach to permits:
- We identify permit requirements during the site assessment and include any permit fees in your estimate.
- We handle permit application and coordination with El Paso County or City of Colorado Springs building departments on your behalf.
- All work is performed in compliance with applicable local building codes, electrical codes, and state of Colorado contractor regulations.
- If an inspection is required by the permitting authority, we coordinate the scheduling and are present for the inspection.
Cancellation & Rescheduling
- Before work begins: You may cancel your project at any time before work begins. If a deposit has been paid, it will be refunded in full provided cancellation occurs at least 48 hours before the scheduled start date.
- After work begins: If you need to cancel after work has commenced, you are responsible for the cost of labor and materials already expended. We will provide a detailed accounting of these costs.
- Rescheduling: We understand schedules change. Please provide at least 24 hours’ notice for rescheduling requests. We will make every effort to accommodate your preferred date.
- Weather delays: Outdoor work may be delayed due to severe weather conditions. Weather-related delays do not incur additional charges, and we will reschedule as soon as conditions permit.
Customer Responsibilities
To help us deliver the best possible service, we ask that you:
- Provide accurate information about your property, existing HVAC systems, electrical setup, and any known issues during the site assessment.
- Disclose any HOA restrictions, building rules, or neighbor agreements that may affect outdoor unit placement or installation scheduling.
- Ensure pets are secured and away from work areas during installation or service visits.
- Follow the recommended maintenance schedule for your installed system to preserve equipment performance and warranty coverage.
- Contact us promptly if you notice any issues with your system after installation or service, rather than attempting repairs yourself or hiring a third party, which may void the warranty.
